Alpha Pharmacy Group is Nigeria's foremost integrated healthcare enterprise — a privately owned, Nigerian-built institution that has served the nation's healthcare needs with distinction for over four decades.

Founded in Lagos in 1985 by Sir Ike Onyechi, a distinguished pharmacist, the Group began as a single community pharmacy with a clear and urgent purpose: to ensure that Nigerians had reliable access to the medicines they needed most — including rare, specialist, and critical care products that the market consistently failed to supply.

Forty years on, that founding commitment remains the Group's defining characteristic. What began as one pharmacy on Allen Avenue, Ikeja, has grown into a diversified healthcare group comprising a chain of 23 community pharmacies, a pharmaceutical importation and distribution arm, a medical equipment division, and specialist business units serving the country's most demanding clinical environments — from intensive care units and surgical theatres to fertility clinics and neonatal centers.

Today the Group employs over 370 professionals, maintains active relationships with 700+ healthcare institutions nationwide, and manages a portfolio of more than 10,000 SKUs. Its cold chain infrastructure, nationwide logistics network and ISO 9001:2015 certification position it among the most capable and compliant pharmaceutical enterprises on the continent.
